Princes Among Men
Princes Among Men
On Rosh Chodesh Adar, March 6, 2008, eight boys and young men were ruthlessly killed in the library of Yeshivat Mercaz HaRav:
Doron Maharate
Roee Roth
Yonadav Hirshfeld
Yochai Lifshitz
Avraham David Moses
Yonatan Eldar
Segev Peniel Avichail
Neria Cohen Hy"d
This book, compiled by that year's Yashlatz twelfth grade—classmates of Yochai—commemorates each of them, with memories shared by friends, teachers, and family members.
The focus of the book is “obstacles on the way to redemption.” The loss of these eight men and boys was both personal and national. We believe that the Redemption is getting closer, and we hope and pray that the example of the Eight will inspire us to be more worthy, even as we grieve their absence.
“And Hashem will wipe the tears off of every face...” (Yeshayahu, 25:8)
